VFC Biomediæ

A bio-adaptive feature film whose soundtrack is shaped in real time by the brain signals of up to fifty viewers. Each viewer wears bone-conduction headphones carrying a personal audio layer generated from their own neural activity.

The interactive design framework bridged the director’s vision, the engineering team’s constraints, and the composer’s musical language. Developed with La Maison de Prod from 2019 to 2023, including MaxMSP objects linking brain signal to music generation.

Presented at the IEEE Brain-Machine Interfacing Workshop in 2021, demonstrated at the USC School of Cinematic Arts in 2023, and at ISEA in 2024.
